Description

The drip tray and the removable parts of the brewing unit are dishwasher-safe, while the cleaning disc, water tank and lid should be rinsed by hand. Needless to say, Tassimo is not only a plain coffee maker. This beverage system upholds outstanding quality and fashionable design. This breakthrough in technology will always have its purpose and it is quite hard to match – most especially by its contemporaries. Make this a part of your everyday coffee. Prepare your delicious hot drinks with this innovation in the comfort of your home.

Newer coffee-makers will not only serve you coffee, they can also make you hot chocolate which is the best if you have children at home. Known as one of the biggest units in the family, this weighs around 3.5kg and measures 30 x 20 x 30 centimetres. Compared to the many newer models out there, this is ideal if you are from a hard-water area. This does not only have a Brita water filter, but it has almost 4x of them. This is ideal both for your taste buds and as well as machine internals. On top of all these, there are also additional buttons which would enable you to modify the length of your brew duration. Aside from this, it also goes with an efficient cable storage solution that can help in keeping most wires out of sight. When it comes to the manufacturing of coffee makers, and any other products related to it, Bosch is a name that is always mentioned. It has always been synonymous to happy consumers and that remains the same up until now. As a proof to this, they have a popular creation – the Tassimo coffee maker, which continues to develop and improve as the time progresses. This is definitely the mightiest of Tassimo's, machines, so consider a smaller option like the Suny or Vivy if you want something smaller or cheaper. About this review, and the reviewerAll the machines use a flow heater brewing system. While this heats up faster than bean-to-cup and pod coffee machines, it’s worth bearing in mind that it won’t produce the same kind of barista-style espresso, which comes from using 15-19 bar pressure. Instead, the flow heater has a pressure of around 3.3 bar. What’s the drinks range like? Tassimo Caddy (T70) and Caddy Silver Edition (T75): Keeps the T DISCs for your early-morning coffee, midday tea or after-dinner espresso right where they belong – neatly stored and organized next to your machine. Delivered with two holders, each offering space for up to 16 capsules, you can add a maximum of eight to store up to 128 T DISCs in total. Pricier models also has a liquid crystal display which helps in personalizing your drink and tells you when it’s time to descale your machine or when it’s time to refill the tank. This Tassimo capsule coffee machine works along with the Tassimo T Discs coffee pods. These are available from most good supermarkets. The unit has a compact design and will fit neatly on a kitchen countertop. The main features of the My Way TAS600 are as follows:

If you want to stray outside the brand’s own classic range, there’s also a healthy selection of third-party options available from well-known brands such as Dualit and Lavazza, as well as smaller independent roasters. Once again, if you’re plumping for anything in the Vertuo range, you should note that there aren’t many third-party Vertuo options currently available. Costa: Founded in 1971 by the Costa brothers in London, it has become one of the country’s favourite coffee shop. There are a few size-related compromises, though. For example, the water tank is small at 700ml, awkwardly positioned at the side, and has to be removed to be filled. This means that you may find yourself topping it up frequently if two or more people are using it during the day. However, even though it’s small, it works just as hard as the larger Tassimo machines, meaning you’ll be able to make exactly the same drinks without giving up as much space.

While the Vivy 2 neither stands out for better or worse, the Way 2’s built-in Brita filter should allow you to go longer without having to descale it. Nevertheless, My Way 2 – as it says in the name – allows for some modifications, such as making your drink slightly shorter. Extracting from same espresso pods gave me about 75ml on the small, 85ml on the medium and 95ml on the large cup setting. (You can’t go rogue and extract a full americano out of an espresso pod meant for a latte. It’s likely Tassimo knows best here and it wouldn’t be a nice result anyway.) Bosch Tassimo My Way 2 coffee quality – Coffee tastes good, but sweetened milk is mostly a let-down

The other reason to choose the My Way 2 is the built-in Brita filter. Not only does this improve the taste of drinks, it means you don’t have to filter water beforehand. That said, it’s worth bearing in mind that the filter takes up room in the tank, meaning its 1.3L capacity is reduced to just 1L. Both ranges, as you might expect, are pretty similar and mostly straightforward in terms of cleaning and maintenance. While neither will give you much trouble, we’re giving the edge to Nespresso here due to its slightly higher-tech approach.
