Not entirely original, but as I stated before I think it stands on its own and definitely draws positive attention. To say the least, lol) Would be interesting to smell what kind of perfume for women does Mr Bandera put his name on! Top notes are Grapefruit and Black Pepper; middle notes are Lavender and Sage; base notes are Sandalwood and Oakmoss. Of course it has the typical modern dna of a fresh, a little sweet, woody aromatic scent BUT with a 90s vibe which i appreciate a lot. With this scent, the brand is exploring new territories, showing the masculinity and uniqueness behind every successful man in a fragrance blending black pepper and lavender.
Last summer I went to Spain, and while visiting places and enjoying the daily night life, I was constantly smelling this fragrance, and I liked it but I never stop a person to ask which fragrance was that. It's not quite how it reads in the notes, it's sweeter in the opening than you may think but I love the musk in this, a salty'ish feel fuzzy soft driftwood off my skin in the mid dry down about two hours in. But again, you won't be reaching for this one on a date or a special occasion as I'm sure you have better in the collection as far as projection and longevity goes as well as depth to a scent. There are worse Banderas fragrances available but here we have an attempt to enter the Sauvage Bleu hype wagon.
Majority of Banderas fragrances nowadays are weaker generic interpretations of popular designer fragrances. Alcohol denat, Aqua, Parfum, Linalool, Benzotriazolyl Dodecyl p-Cresol, Butylphthalimide, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Isopropylphthalimide, Coumarin, Citral, Methyl 2-Octynoate.
Finally, a tantalizing, vibrant woody aroma and sensual musk scent emerge, adding masculinity and uniqueness to the fragrance.Not that this is a criticism, as I like both of these perfumes, but sometimes I wish its own character would shine more. Then all but a mellowed sweet lavender from the opening is laying nicely over a musk that trails forever. In conclusion, I think it's a decent frag to pick up, but don't expect beast performance and projection. Elegant blend of lavender and sage oil at the heart strengthened with aquatic violet leaves, to magnify the masculinity contrasted with a combination of woods and sensual tonka beans, dressed in a powerful oakmoss facet to add personality and character.
It is within: in your ability to challenge yourself every day, in knowing your strengths and setting goals. Adding more pepper, replacing citrus with grapefruit would be a lot more interesting interpretation. I dont see any similarity to Libre as some say, maybe only a little bit in the opening which lasts for 2 minutes.
