Nokia G21 / Nokia G11 5G Phone Case, Magnetic Wallet Leather

The screen is rated for 400-nits of brightness, not the 600-plus seen in budget phones with high brightness modes that engage when there’s plenty of light. The cutting of the case slit fits perfectly into the charging port and speaker without affecting any buttons or lenses.Do yourself a favour and pick up the Moto G31 instead – it might not have a 90Hz display like the Nokia, but it’s an OLED, so your eyes (and sanity) will thank you for it. On taking the phone outdoors to take some photos, we could barely see what was in the preview window. You can only shoot at resolutions up to 1080p, there’s no software stabilization at all, and the actual image looks more 360p resolution than 1080p. The Nokia G21’s panel is below average, despite having a 90Hz refresh rate that makes menus appear to scroll more smoothly – when they’re not afflicted by mild UI judder, which happens fairly regularly.

Nokia G21 review: a slow phone with a big battery | TechRadar Nokia G21 review: a slow phone with a big battery | TechRadar

In the Geekbench 5 single- and multicore tests, the Nokia G21 scored 311 and 1,190, which is about on a par with the Moto G31, but trails slightly behind the Nokia 5. I don’t say this often, but the Nokia G21’s screen is really quite poor, and that alone is enough to stop the phone from earning any sort of recommendation, no matter how cheap it might be. You might not get much use out of these secondary lenses, but the good news is that the main camera is surprisingly competent for a phone as cheap as this. This phone doesn’t have a zoom lens, and the poor close-up quality of standard pics is only emphasized when you digitally zoom into them. It scores 1165 in Geekbench 5, which is far lower than the ~1640 achievable in a phone featuring the Snapdragon 480. There’s a poor 2-megapixel macro camera and a basic depth sensor for background-blurred portrait pictures. The interface is striped back too, which should make the phone appealing if you’re not a fan of third-party Android interfaces.
