You can use a USB cableto connect this instrument's USB port to your smartphone, tablet, or computer, and use the B2 as a MIDI keyboard to play an external sound module. Korg includes a Partner Mode on the B2, which splits the keyboard into two halves, each having the same key range. I have a massive passion for anything that makes a sound, in particular guitars, pianos and recording equipment. If you’re going with the B2 or the B2N, the included pedal is fine, but it doesn’t detect half-pedaling signals. As mentioned before, the Korg B2N features a lighter-touch keyboard for those who aren’t looking for a full-weighted digital piano.

While, yes, the majority of players will get on absolutely fine with this format, it somewhat limits the appeal of the piano.While we'd be happy with just the five top tier piano sounds, the B2 does have more up its sleeve, just in case you want to broaden your horizons. This Korg B2 features a stage electric piano sound, a 1960s electric piano, a digital electric piano, a harpsichord, a pipe organ, an electric organ and strings.

Metronome: The button for the metronome is on the front panel of the piano and helps with diverse modifications in the settings of the piano. I love the attention to detail here, and it also helps that the samples themselves sound great, especially when you run them through the direct outputs. It connects with the headphone jack, damper pedal jack, and audio-in jack, and has a USB type B port as well. auxiliary inject, audio MIDI and an USB MIDI jack which allows you to connect to your IOS devices and your computer and play along with your backing tracks.It’s also worth noting that sympathetic and damper resonance is included on the B2 and all its variations.

When you reach the polyphony cap, the piano starts to drop the earliest played notes to free up memory for new notes, which in turn affects the quality and fullness of the sound. My personal favorite was the Italian Concert Piano sound, which isn’t too obvious about what it’s sampled from. Unfortunately this means you are unable to use both features at the same time unless you have a splitter. The Yamaha P125 is a little more expensive but is more feature rich, it includes more voices, have internal rhythms to play along (Korg doesn’t have any).
