Considering the nato leather strap, chronograph movement, and overall quality of build, it’s not really fair to compare the Weekender Chronograph to the Casio’s and Seiko 5’s that dominate comparables at that price point. You will find things like the Invicta 90242-002, the Seiko 5 SNK809 ( read our review), and dozens of other options (the vast majority of which fall into “fashion watch” territory). Tide ocean material - In partnership with #tide we’re working to clean our oceans by upcycling ocean bound plastic into watch parts. The Timex Weekender uses a strap that’s more ZULU than NATO (inexplicably adorning the 40mm Timex Weekender): two metal keepers on a single web, devoid of the fold over bit that prevents the watch from sliding off. Looking to sell extra straps, Timex kept it simple.

Timex Weekender is a bit loud which may be bothersome to some users. Although it didn’t feel like a major issue to me, if you consider slight loudness to be irritating then u should rethink buying it. Where to find replaceable straps?Simply touch the metal top ring of this watch with your finger to instantly see your heart rate, making monitoring a breeze. When it comes to racing watches, the semi-microbrand Dan Henry has some wonderful modestly-sized pieces. As a racing fan and long-time collector, Dan Henry designs these watches with the horological enthusiast in mind. I don’t see it holding up well in more active or dangerous situations, and while Timex says it has 30m/98ft worth of water resistance, I don’t think I’d take it for a swim either. Strap and Clasp As far as I know, no one ever faced any time issue in this watch including me. It's quite handy and useful. Actually solved my own problem. Decided to play with it a little more at the store and realized that the chronograph just needed to be recalibrated. After doing so, it worked perfectly and I decided to buy it. Reply

Water-resistance is the ability to resist the penetration of water to a certain degree. Waterproof means that water is not allowed to pass through it. At this time Timex only sells water-resistant watches. The paper rolled up inside the stand is warranty information and such, not an operation manual. You will have to look elsewhere online for that (or watch my review video). The problem with the Speedmaster Reduced is that Omega discontinued it. However, there are always pre-owned examples available on Chrono24 and Crown and Caliber. Zenith El Primero Watches labeled water-resistant without a depth indicated can withstand splashes and rain, but should not be submerged. Now that you know what to look for when choosing a chronograph for a smaller wrist, let’s take a look at some of the best models available. The following chronographs are modestly sized but vary quite a bit in price range. However, there is something for almost everyone on the list. Timex Weekender Chronograph The El Primero movement premiered in 1969, housed in the same case as the A3817. Even 50 years later, it’s still one of the best automatic chronograph movements available. And, to add to the El Primero’s cool factor, it features a tachymeter and a pulsometer on the bezel. Final Thoughts

The mineral crystal on the Weekender is good enough and somewhat resistant to scratches. During regular use it came out no worse for wear, though regular use for me consists of office and computing work. The Weekender 40 Chronograph has two buttons, one above and one below the crown. The top button activates/stops the chronograph function, and the bottom button resets the chronograph. How To set the time:There is an element of optical illusion when it comes to buying a chronograph (or even a diver). Lots of glass makes the watch appear true-to-size, while a bezel shrinks the dial and makes the watch appear smaller. The bidirectional center hand of our proprietary Tide-Temp-Compass movement can be set to reflect your local tide conditions. The reason for this is that creating a mechanical or automatic chronograph movement that’s small and thin enough to fit in a smaller watch is very expensive, meaning only some of the most streamlined or luxurious brands can afford to do it.
