Each slot has a magnet, meaning your bit won’t wriggle free. It holds smaller bits just fine but it's prone to drop nut-driver bits when you set the drill down with any speed. Easy to install but for longer bits, particularly nut-driver bits if they are too long they won't fit between the holder and ground without not allowing you to rest your tool on a flat surface.
