About this deal

high gain dual band detachable antennas and integrated high powered amplifiers for long range connectivity That’s why the new AX standard will support more wifi clients and will be better suited in dense environments such as airports, smart homes with many IoT devices etc. Earlier we gave an example of a tri-band router and explained that its AC3200 naming did not mean that it offers a wireless network at 3200 Mbps but three wireless networks, two of which work at a theoretical maximum of 1300 Mbps. You could assume that the top speed you get is 1300 Mbps, but that would be, again, false. This is because ALL manufacturers of networking equipment such as WiFi routers, don’t use real-life measuring environments, like people’s homes and apartments. They do their measurements in specialized labs so that they can claim the maximum possible speed. Here’s what they tend to do, to calculate the total maximum bandwidth: Numbers are based on testing conducted by the USB-IF and your computers are required to also support USB 3.0

For streaming, I recommend to connect to the 5GHz band if your TV is close to the ARRIS device, otherwise use the 2.4GHz band and you will still be fine. (the 2.4 GHz band can reach longer distances). I currently have the Tp-link AC1900 archer c9 and the Motorola arris surfboard sb6121. I’m thinking about upgrade the modem to the SB8200 paired with Google Nest w/ 1 router and 1 point. Thoughts? AiMesh Supported - Connect your RT-AC68U to other compatible ASUS routers to create a powerful and flexible whole-home Wi-Fi network

How is the 2350 Mbps broken down theoretically. Am I limited to 1 Gbps for streaming or 2350 Mbps. Please advise. I have just upgraded from my Spectrum ISP to 600 Mbps. I have 2 Smart TV’s 2 Laptops, 1 printer, 1 IPad, & 1 Extender.

As you know, this is based on the Wifi5 standard. Wondering if i should go ahead with this Wifi or get a newly introduced Wifi6 router/mesh (maybe an Eero Home) ? What difference would either standard make for a Verizon 75/75 , 200/200 or higher internet speeds?

Tri-band and emit on three frequencies: one 2.4 GHz frequency and two 5 GHz frequencies. You see three wireless networks being broadcast. The most expensive wireless routers are tri-band, and their names have AC3000 or more in their name. Some of the latest routers even have AC5300 in their name, making you believe that they emit wireless networks at 5300 Mbps, which is far from the truth. With a USB 3.0 port and a USB 2.0 port, it’s easy to share local printers, files and media within the network and between devices. Utilize the FTP server to access files stored on the router while away home. Take advantage of USB 3.0 with 10x faster speed than traditional USB 2.0. Remotely access, share and stream your storage via your ASUS router. Securely ... No cloud required.
