I mean, those two notes together are absolutely lovely...but nothing near what the note listing said for this fragrance. I'm guessing the "Vanilla" in it makes it as creamy smooth as it is. I guess I shouldn't complain because this is a completely dapper fragrance and I'm gonna wear the hell out of it, starting tomorrow morning, but yet again...I'm completely stumped as to what the actual fragrance notes for this TRULY are. I thought this was the most delicious, sweet, sexy, slightly animalic white / yellow floral and I knew i wanted a bigger bottle. I couldn't understand the people complaining it smelled like "spicy hot milk."

I would not splurge 200 € on for a 50 ml bottle of something I only enjoy for the first few minutes. After a few minutes the florals began to come out. It was another confusing moment as it was sour smelling florals with a tinge of hairspray, but when I sniff at my wrist it was much sweeter, mostly tuberose and jasmine (that I can discern anyway) Actually, if this had been a cheap perfume, I would probably have been less lenient and would have attributed such a drydown to poor quality. But this is Kilian, so they're allowed to be strange.Needless to say that in about an hour not me nor the people around me could smell the "GGGB" that I had bought and sprayed for the outing. This is a dupe for Kilian Good Girl Gone Bad, which is a very beautiful white floral that is unfortunately dominated by an overpowering osmanthus note. If you couldn’t deal with the osmanthus note in GGGB but enjoyed the scent, this is a wonderful alternative. I also don’t go nose blind to this as I had with GGGB. Unique fragrances according to the side of your personality that you wish to enhance by emitting a particular scent. The price point requires true love for a committment, and while Good Girl Gone Bad is a beautifully blended floral, I also feel like it's too easy to replace with cheaper, probably nicer, equally performing fragrances. I also love cedar, and creamy ambers, and soft tuberose. I love Cedre, and Fred Hayman’s 273. This has an ethereal lightness but is still grounded with that amber that almost has a spicey vibe, but is still fresh and green, no dried spice at all. It’s like when sweet and sad or hard and soft collide in a striking way that is an extremely well-balanced tightrope walk that doesn’t leave you conflicted or in tears.

Kismet is a beautiful combo of tuberose and narcissus, with amber, wood, and a touch of rose. The apricot adds a beautiful fruity jammy brightness to the overall fragrance. The performance is not bad (4-5 hours or wear with moderate projection) and for the size and cost of the bottle, I wouldn’t mind having to overspray it. I often have trouble with performance of fragrances because my body (and especially my skin) run very warm compared to average, but Kismet for Men actually performs pretty well on me. Sillage and endurance are reasonable for the cost.So far so good and bravo to Killian for putting on the market a brand that promises to provide a different kind of luxury, given the fact that he is the heir of a very long and quality industry of a totally different field - yet he chose to be involved in perfumery clearly because of pure love for it. I respect that.

This is a wonderful tuberose / white floral scent and for the price, I am really impressed with how amazing it is! On my skin, the opening is a beautiful bouquet of fresh white flowers, enough sweetness, enough deepness without giving away the presence of wood. Petals everywhere. This is a totally respectable dupe of Tuxedo that gets the basic notes right, but in slightly different balance, and with a reliance on aromachemicals instead of naturals. I think it's a tremendous value, certainly when compared to Tuxedo. I think that "The Tux" gets closer to the proportions of the YSL original, but I prefer Kismet to The Tux: I just think that this is the better smelling combo when it's all aromachemicals. However, I do love osmanthus. I’ve even been eating fresh apricots hoping they will taste as good as an osmanthus perfume, lol. Not yet. I swoon over the osmanthus dry down in Serge Lutens Bapteme du Feu, and I just wish Nuit de Cellophane was longer-lasting.I find the main difference between the two is that Moustache has slightly more vanilla or better quality vanilla that makes it more noticeable. Anyways, I randomly tried this one and big, stupid smile froze on my face. Like people when they are desperately in love over heels. I didn’t expect to like this. Fruity floral? I think I have not one perfume from the 90’s. Either before or after, but not that. I love spices and plenty of other things, but fruits so often smell teenybopper on me. If it’s a small dose of fruit hidden under some other things, maybe ok. Previously, the past two times I wore Kismet it had been the other way...the base layer fragrance being dominant...and Kismet giving whispers of it's presence.

I'm posting this review to be informative for those looking at Kismet as an alternative to Rochas Moustache EDP. The tuberose note is reminiscent of salted meat and heavy cream, especially the moment when ghee (clarified butter) mixes with pork; it’s gourmand in the most unconventional way. A strange combination that is both attractive and repulsive to me. It’s like stepping into an Indian household after the owner had already prepared dinner and is now spraying air freshener to get rid of the scent. But what I don't love is the price. No way under heaven given among men am I spending that kind of money on a fragrance. For the price this is a steal, if you like this scent profile. And even if you don't , I don't see why not this fragrance cannot grow on you.

I actually got two compliments at the gas station this morning while filling up and that has NEVER happened in the past 2 times I wore this fragrance. And the last two times I wore Kismet, I put on enough to leave a noticeable dent of about 1/4in removed from the bottle. I mean, I BATHED IN KISMET, and it didn't perform and was gone in an hour. First spritz... And I was hit with an overwhelming scent of hairspray. Whuhhh. I was so confused. Can't figure out what's causing it. Despite the rose note featuring prominently in Kismet's official scent pyramid, I honestly wouldn't classify this fragrance as a rose scent. The rose accord is very subtle and smells more like dried potpourri, which mind you works beautifully alongside the opoponax, patchouli and labdanum notes. Remember, microperfume vials come with a tiny dabber. You can miss out on some top notes when you don't have an atomizer. (important later)
