The Pro Adapt Alphacat shoe outsole provides stability and traction via a high-durometer abrasion resistant TPU perimeter, while the central Crystal Rubber unit offers a soft under foot feel on hard surfaces, giving you the confidence to hit any shot no matter the lie. The resulting traction is grippy in all directions. I have no real complaints here. As far as spikeless traction is concerned, the PUMA ALPHACAT NITRO is a solid performer. The GS-Fast comes with a wide rubber outsole that is littered with a ton of small rubber studs. That means these shoes are better used as a summer golf shoe but still performed very well in slightly soft autumnal conditions with their grippy outsole providing solid traction on the turf. They are also completely waterproof and are very easy to wipe down after your round. On the sole, the contrast of the grey and orange lugs is a nice eye-catching feature which you get glimpses of whilst walking or in the follow through, as well as providing a handy visual indication of where Puma's traction technology is helping you out. This is very comfortable once you're wearing them as there's no pinching around the top of the foot, but it does take a little bit of getting used to.
