Pityrosporum Folliculitis/Malassezia folliculitis or simply known as Fungal Acne is a persistent acne-like condition that commonly responds poorly to traditional acne-treating methods. Unlike most cases of Acne where bacteria is the culprit, Fungi is the culprit of Fungal Acne (Hence the name!). There are certain classes & groups of ingredients that have been shown to promote and feed the growth of the Fungal Acne, Fungi such as fatty acids, oils, esters, polysorbates and fermented ingredients. However some sulfates are so good at their job, they can wash off your skin’s own natural oils that keep it moisturised and protected which can lead to dryness and irritation. I got this early July, and I only started using it end of July. Why? Because I was not looking forward to finishing the bottle. This is my favourite spray! Firstly, I like the sound of the ingredients list in this Sioris mist more, and find it interesting how depending on spring or autumn production the first ingredient is different, either green plum for spring or Yuja for autumn. I like the sound of the autumn production more, however, my one has 78% Prunus Mume Fruit Water (Green Plum) as the first ingredient and a bunch of extra fragrance components at the end so it is from the Spring production. The water phase is clear, very much alike water. The oil itself has orange color. Since I have an #oilyskin, it felt a little bit oily on my skin, but not too much, I can bare this as its easily absorbed onto my skin. The scent was fresh and citrusy, I love it! Third, jojoba oil moisturizes the skin through a unique dual action:on the one hand, it mixes with sebum and forms a thin, non-greasy, semi-occlusive layer; on the other hand, it absorbs into the skin through pores and hair follicles thendiffuses into the intercellular spaces of the outer layer of the skin to make it soft and supple. I like that it dispenses as a smooth even spritz without splattering or spitting. It doesn’t feel like it’s hitting me in the face, but more like it’s falling gently onto my skin. Upon application, it feels quite refreshing and uplifting, and the subtle spa-like scent in the air (not as strong as the neogen one) makes the atmosphere quite relaxing. Three skin-benefiting oils, macadamia oil, jojoba oil and sunflower oil, provide long-lasting nourishment and moisture. All ingredients are sourced in Korea and harvested in peak season for optimal freshness and effectiveness. Although it’s an in your face scent, it’s just a mist. The scent disappears almost 1-2 minutes later. Most people will find no issues with sulfate, however if you find your skin doesn't like sulfates then free feel to avoid them by looking out for the sulfate-free icon on Skincarisma.
