About this deal

Leading this tide of traitors out of the warp is a Dark Apostle and his two obsequious Dark Disciples. Whispering twisted exultations to the Chaos Gods, this Priest can bestow malefic blessings upon your army, including Core units like the Legionaries and Havocs who accompany him. This is… just OK. As far as being a value vs. MSRP goes it’s fine, but long-term you’re probably not going to use the Helbrute and the Havocs are more of a situational add to the army. The Chaos Space Marines notably don’t come with the new sprue to upgrade the unit to have a psyker or a heavy chainaxe – those will be options for the kill team – and so I might generally recommend passing on this box in favor of buying the individual units you’ll need. The Warhammer Vault meanwhile adds the entirety of Flyers of the Dark Millennium to its ever-growing library. This Week on Warhammer-Community.com

A Dark Apostle leads the combat patrol while reciting passages from a book... that’s on fire. He’s flanked by two dark disciples who are excellent in close quarters combat. Five Havocs are ready to bring the pain with heavy weapons, including an intimidating chaingun. Ten Chaos Space Marines bring a good mix of mid to close range weapons and the patrol is finished with heavy support in the form of a Helbrute that can dish out and take punishment as needed. Known for their stealth tactics and use of Cultist forces seeded and outfitted ahead of their arrival, Alpha Legion work well with most units thanks to being more difficult to hit from a distance, helping them close the gaps. The rules for the Alpha Legion tend to favor versatility and subterfuge, and they have several rules that can apply to Cultists by virtue of just being INFANTRY-keyworded, though you may find they don’t necessarily want to run a ton of cultists.Just from looking at the box, there are a decent number of minis inside and if the price stays the same as usual, this could be a decent value. We really don’t see how they could raise the price again, but we won’t put it past them. Here are the contents:

We’ve summarized the core World Eaters 10th edition rulesyou’ll need to bear in mind when transferring your army to the new edition. We’ll have a new strategy guide for the World Eaters in Warhammer 40k 10th editionready for you soon. If you’re playing Chaos Space Marines, chances are you’re probably going to need at least two books if you want to really play. We’ve talked about the rules a bit in our general Getting Started article on the rules, but I’ll go into a bit more depth here. The Warhammer 40K Combat Patrol: Blood Angels is a boxed set of 15 miniatures of collective 500-point value. The Blood Angels are another Space Marines Chapter, and they are direct descendants of the primarchs, the genetically-engineered sons of the Emperor of Mankind. In the story of the game, the Blood Angels have suffered heavy defeats, leading the vanguard against xenos across the universe and facing countless foes.

Chaos Space Marines (8 w/bolter or bolt pistol + chainsword, 1 champion, 1 melta/flamer/plasma, 1 heavy bolter/missile launcher) This invasion was so bloody and so rife with daemonic incursion that it almost sparked a civil war within the Imperium of Man, between the Inquisition, intent on purging the planetary population to ensure knowledge of daemonkind remained secret, and the Space Wolves, who were stirred by the courage of the mortal human defenders. The World Eaters army rule is Blessings of Khorne, which provides you with one or two randomly selected, hyper-violent buffs each battle round. Here’s how it works.

We have a full guide to Khârn the Betrayerif you want to learn more about the blood-thirstiest madmen in the dark millennium. Usually, GW has waited until the codex has actually been released to reveal what the Combat Patrol will be. We’re often left guessing whether or not the picture in the codex is the actual box, but this time, we didn’t have to wait!

Finally if you want to bring anything from the Forge World library of Chaos models, such as the Kytan Ravager, Blood Slaughterer of Khorne, or the Hellforged dreadnoughts, you need this book. There’s some cool stuff in there, but it’s not a book that you absolutely need – you can run a perfectly great Chaos army using just the units in the Codex. War Zone Charadon Act II: The Book of Fire Warhammer 40K Combat Patrol: World Eaters is one of the newest box sets to have been revealed by Games Workshop. This is one of the best ways to start collecting the World Eaters army or add to your Angron’s horde. The box comes with 20 Khorne Berzerkers and 10 Jakhals led by World Eaters Lord on Juggernaut, who can also be built as Lord Invocatus.
