About this deal

BRD4001A: Wireless starter main boards (WSTK) to host the radio boards. Except for BRD4166A, all the radio boards need a starter main board each. Mini USB cables to connect and power the main boards or micro USB cable for BRD4166A. I have not received mine yet but got a reply from ITead now that the USB “ product description id” written to the EEPROM of the CH9102F USB-to-UART/serial chip on this new ZBDongle-E dongle is “ SONOFF Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus V2”, hopefully that added “ V2” in combination with the rest ill allow for unique identification which can enable ZHA developers to add automatic discovery? Though you also need to understand that each USB-module/adapter implementation will be different, like for example onboard circuit-board antenna versus SMA-connector or uFL + external antenna and several choices of USB-to-Serial/UART chips, so keep that too in mind when comparing USB dongles. Update: Looks like @CoolKit-Technologies = Shenzhen Cool House Technology Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Cool House Technology) might be the Chinese manufacturer of this SM-011 V1.0 / ZYZBP008 module:

So @Hedda is have very right in one part that Zigbee and WiFi is not one good combination if not implanting coexistent Technic in the hardware. This new " ZBDongle-E" adapter uses a WCH CH9102F USB-to-UART bridge (USB-to-serial converter) chip so if using Windows OS or Mac OS then need to install CH9102/CH343 device drivers from WCH -> http://www.wch-ic.com/products/CH9102.html

Seems to be related to this error when restarting. Gosh HA will never find consumer product market fit... Also, I can personally recommend using a few of their USB adapters flashed as Zigbee Routers too. Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus - ZBDongle-E variant Two BRD4168A: ot-cli-ftd — These two devices will act as Full Thread Devices. They will join the Thread network created by the OTBR.

While the Zigbee specification supports changing channeI on an existing Zigbee network I do not think that ZHA support that feature yet? See → https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/zha/#defining-zigbee-channel-to-use So if you want to help out the Zigbee2MQTT and IoBroker (both based on zigbee-herdsman) developers then please consider testing Silabs EFR32 based adapters with those applications. See discussions:Better yet could automatic discovery of radio adapter type be added in a similar way that Homa Assistant ZHA and zigpy detects it? Third, you must operate on the naked logic board while it is plugged in. This is a lot easier if you use a USB extension cable. There are two ways to get started. Both options allow you to flash the firmwares that are required for this codelab.

If do a google search for "GL-EFR32H" (or "GL-EFR32S") then you will find more info, including their own document for them here:
