Description

One player shuffles the Stupid Deaths Cards and places them in the middle of the Game Board. Each player is given an Extra Life Token, along with one True and one False Voting Card. The concept of Stupid Deaths is dead simple. The cards feature a bunch (a gaggle… a murder?) of deaths and you have to decide whether they’re real or made up – true or false. If you guess right, you advance around the board… but there’s the matter of the Grim Reaper chasing you as you go! If you want to win, you have to outrun the Reaper (or, at least, aim for a dead heat). Can you (pall)bear(er) the pressure? Of corpse you can! Why rest in peace when you could play in stitches? This game will have you laughing so hard that you’ll be coffin and spluttering, and you’ll be dying for another round. So, if your passed game nights were just dead weight, its time to lift your spirits! Get your Stupid Deaths game today! It’s tomb much fun… Just before we get into the detail of analysing the price of this product, we want to briefly highlight the importance of setting yourself a budget before you spend too much time shopping around for a suitable product. It’s all too often that we get carried away when shopping and find ourselves buying a fantastic product, but probably actually overdelivers on what we need and therefore costs a lot more than we should have spent. So spend a bit of time looking around at the sort of price you can expect to pay for products in the Board games category and use that alongside your own financial situation to set yourself a budget. The Extra Life Token will allow the player to move their pawn one space in front of the Grim Reaper, barely cheating death. If they are touched again, they are out for the remainder of the game.

While players are trying to work out if someone died from holding their bladder too long, the Grim Reaper moves closer. If the Grim Reaper catches up to a player, that player will lose their extra life token and move one space forward. If the Grim Reaper passes the same player again, they are eliminated from the game. Players must guess their way to the finish line whilst being chased by death. Players take it in turn to read out Stupid Death cards. These cards contain deathly scenarios. For example, Brahe died from a bladder infection after politeness kept him from using the bathroom during a royal banquet, causing his bladder to rupture. The oldest player begins the game as the reader. The player will read the Stupid Death Card aloud to the group. All other players will vote whether they think the death is a myth or a fact by choosing a voting card. When all players are ready, the chosen voting card is flipped.

While the adults that played this game did enjoy it I would say the age rating of 12 is about right. The content isn’t particularly adult but obviously, the theme is death which younger children may struggle with. There is also a lot of reading involved as well so anybody playing does need to be confident in reading aloud. The next step was to try and narrow down our search even more. So we’ve already looked the prices of products in the Board games category. Then we’ve also looked at the prices of products from Stupid Deaths. So this step combines the two and looks specifically at the price you’d expect to pay for Stupid Deaths branded products in the Board games category.

Where can you buy it?

The game states that it’s for kids 12+. However, if your kids are able to deal with mature subjects, you could play it with kids 9 and older. To begin, players will put their counters on the green starting circle and then place the Grim Reaper’s counter on the red circle. The 300 Stupid Death cards are then shuffled and placed in the middle of the board. Each player gets an extra life token and a true and false card. Stupid Deaths, published by University Games, is a 2-6 player party game for ages 12+. Housed in a tombstone box, with the slogan frightfully funny, it appeals to those with a macabre sense of humour. Ready To Reap The first is brand. Looking at the brand of the product is often a really good indicator for judging product quality. For example you’d expect a much higher quality product from a brand known for providing excellent quality than you would from an unknown or even a budget brand. This is a collaborative review post from Sam, co-founder of Dafuq Is Dis. She is a big fan of party board games and agreed to review Stupid Deaths with her family. Stupid Deaths is a brilliantly dark family board game.
