Ana Huang’s If We Ever Meet Again is an emotional and realistic story of first love. Set during a year abroad program in Shanghai, the novel focuses on Farrah and Blake, two young and relatable characters. I adore the slow-building romance between Farrah and Blake! It is deep and true (and pretty steamy), and filled with good and not-so-good moments. Set against the amazingly described setting of Shanghai, their blossoming romance is wonderful and heartbreaking and is filled with happiness, exploration, confusion, and disappointment. Blake and Farrah shouldn't have fallen for each other the way they did: totally, completely, and irrevocably. So, what I guess I’m saying is that this book became a guilty pleasure! I enjoyed reading it. It was not a deep, thrilling story. There were no mysteries and it was rather predictable. But I appreciated the change of scenery that this brought to my reading. I believed in Farrah and Blake as characters and eventually found myself engrossed in their story – after I had let loose and admitted to myself that yes, I was enjoying the book. It was easy to immerse myself into the life of students in Shanghai and I actually am looking forward to discovering what happens next to Blake and Farrah.A steamy strangers to friends to lovers romance from Ana Huang, the New York Times bestselling author of the Kings of Sin and Twisted series In regards to safety, both Hero & heroine slept with others during the 5 year separation. Hero had also been engaged to Chloe for a few months and it is not mentioned if they slept together or not. In the present, there is no cheating, no OW/OM drama (aside from Hero & his feelings of guilt about the OW & what he thought he did).

So in the 1st book, it tells the story of how these 2 college kids (Blake & Farrah) met in Shanghai and fell in love. Hero (Blake) had been dating his ex GF & childhood BFF (Chloe) for a year and he loved her but was not IN love with her. He breaks things off and meets Farrah. This may be one of my favorite covers yet. I’m obsessed with the gold flower, which is perfect for Dominic & Alessandra 😍 With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can’t afford the distraction she brings.Characters 3.5 Stars - I liked Farrah, but Blake was just okay. A lot of the things he said were corny and cheesy, which made it hard for me to connect with him. When he put down his guard and was sincere, he was absolutely sweet. Writing 5 Stars - The writing in this story is fantastic. Ana Huang has a beautiful way with words that made it so enjoyable to read this story.
