Description

Football Manager (also known as Worldwide Soccer Manager in North America from 2004 to 2008) is a series of football management simulation video games developed by British developer Sports Interactive and published by Sega. The game began its life in 1992 as Championship Manager. However, following the break-up of their partnership with original publishers Eidos Interactive, triggered by the "fiasco" release of CM4 in 2003, Sports Interactive lost the naming rights to Eidos Interactive, but retained the game engine and data [1] and re-branded the game Football Manager with their new publisher Sega. The latest version of Football Manager, titled Football Manager 2024, was released on 7 November 2023. If you want a high stress virtual job on top of your real one, have hours to burn each day looking at an interactive database, and fancy yourself as the next Alex Ferguson, Football Manager 2009 might be the only game you'll need until this time next year." After ten, 12 years of dabbling with Sports Interactive's various releases, we know this; we know responsible playing is the answer, so we only get to dip in and out these days. As a result this cruel denial of our FM fix nags away, forever reminding us that a manager's work is never done. If only we could use all those dead hours during the week and could play it on the way to work or during lunch breaks, Ragbag Rovers would be kings of Europe by now.

[12] [13] Football Manager 2011 (often abbreviated to FM11) is a football manager simulation video game. It was released for Windows and Mac OS X on 5 November 2010. It was also released for PlayStation Portable on 26 November 2010. [6] A version for iOS was released on 16 December 2010. The Xbox 360 version was released on 13 April 2006 and is the first home console game in the Football Manager series. The full 50 playable league systems are included, as well as a 250,000-strong player database (very near to the figure of the PC version), but due to the large save files of the game, the Xbox hard disk drive is required. The game is also region free. On 20 April 2007, Sega Europe Ltd and Sports Interactive released details for Football Manager Live which would be a brand new massively multiplayer online game based on PISD Ltd technology. Released on 4 November 2008, Football Manager Live had its roots set in the Football Manager series, but was designed specifically as a massively multiplayer online game. On 12 December 2008, the first Community Day was arranged by Sports Interactive and Sega. The future of the series and many other matters were discussed with a number of fans who decided to show up for the event. [5] On 14 April 2011, it was announced that Football Manager Live would be discontinued after all 'Gameworlds' (Servers) completed their next season (28 day period) – due around the end of May 2011.

The demo of the game was released on 2 November via the News of the World, BitTorrent, and Steam. An Arsenal-branded version of the game has also been released. [2] Gameplay [ edit ] This version also makes use of the Xbox Live functionality, allowing players to create online leagues and cups with up to 16 human-controlled teams using team data they have exported from their offline game. Far from worrying about commutes and lunch breaks, SI boss Miles Jacobson jovially suggests another reason to celebrate the brand's transition to the Sony handheld: "It's the best game to play while having a crap," he says, giving us a disturbing mental image we didn't want to dwell on for long. Vivid imaginations are a double-edged sword, evidently. Not even the most demandingly bratty of football fans would expect the latest FM's interactivity options to make it into the handheld game in all their glory. Chatting with any player in the football universe to help prompt a move is hardly the most crucial aspect to miss either. But why haven't team talks been included? Surely such a basic interactive option would be a must-run feature? When a game as all-consuming as Football Manager enters your life, there's only one problem: knowing when to stop. That one-more-fixture, one-more-transfer feeling creeps into the lives of all but the most disciplined players, and this uncontrollable, bona-fide addiction is responsible for more than the odd divorce and relationship headache along the way. The main new feature to the game is the 3D match engine. This can now be watched fullscreen, with a widescreen option available. Other features include being able to play as a female or male manager, improvements to the interaction between the manager and his assistant manager, improved mid-match team talks and tactics, training players to have preferred moves and transfer rumours. There will also be press conferences, where you can build up a rapport with the journalists, and the finance and transfer systems have been completely reworked. The game is set to feature more players than ever before, with over 350,000 in the database at the time of the game's announcement. The PC version has a skin similar to the one used in Football Manager 2008. FM12 features similar gameplay to that of the Football Manager series. Reasons to be cheerful part 2006

New features in the 2007 version of FM include the ability to include pictures for the player as the manager; substantially increased media interaction such as approaches from national newspaper journalists about the upcoming match or asking for comments on a player's performance in recent matches; new varying degrees of criticism or praise for players (happy with form or very pleased with form rather than just one generic good term), a similar feature has been included for such actions as admiring players or attempting to unsettle transfer targets. Improvements have also been made to board request interactions. Test (Wertung) zu Football Manager 2011 (Sport, PC) - 4Players.de". 4Players. 3 December 2010. [8] FM11 features enhanced agent roles, with agents all acting differently according to their personalities. [9] In-game press conferences received a revamp, with more in-depth questions being asked by the press. [10] Football Manager 2006 for Windows and Mac OS was released in the UK on 21 October 2005 (2 weeks earlier than the originally stated 4 November release). On the same day as the game's release, Sports Interactive also released a patch to fix some bugs discovered during the Beta and Gold stages of development. In its first week of release, it became the second-fastest-selling PC game of all-time in the UK. Miles Jacobson, Sports Interactive studio director. "Football Manager HMV Blogs".
