Wear suitable gloves when using Apoxie Sculpt. Take equal parts of A and B (both have a clay-like consistency) and mix them for 2 minutes to create a homogeneous mass. The Apoxie Sculpt can now be processed for 2-3 hours. Smooth the model with your finger and a little water. This epoxy can be painted wet or dry. The Apoxie Sculpt is fully cured after 24 hours. Clean unwanted Apoxie with soap and water. Everyone has their own taste and you may end up liking an alternative more than Apoxie Sculpt, so let’s take a look at the possible substitutes! Each of the modeling putties described above have their own unique characteristics that lend themselves to different applications when sculpting. By mixing two different epoxy putties together, you can create a hybrid putty that has characteristics of both. For instance, if you mix equal parts green stuff and Apoxie sculpt you get a putty that handles similarly to greenstuff but has the hardness of Apoxie Sculpt after curing. You can combine green stuff and Milliput to get a similar effect. Clean up: soap & water or Aves® Safety Solvent (very helpful for smoothing, removing finger prints & cleaning up pigment / product residue before set-up). Finish as desired. Paint wet or dry. ?Marine & Exterior Quality! OH! So that means that I should mix it up and let it “rest” awhile before trying to make beads or stamp into it!

Apoxie Sculpt, it’s a relatively unknown material amongst hobbyists, but it’s more than perfect for our electroforming projects! It combines the best parts of other materials to form an unmatched substance, that allows our creative minds to run free! Now, in the meanwhile, I had some clay on my table when I was working with my fish pond pump and a piece broke off. The threads that keep pushing the water through in one direction snapped off. So I used some of that Apoxie Sculpt to seal the parts together! Mix&knead together for 2 minutes, until thoroughly combined and a uniform color is achieved. *Note that incomplete mixing will give poor results.

Discover the Unlimited Uses! A good idea for any left over mixed Apoxie Sculpt is to start a journal cover or decorate a box top with it - you'd be surprised how much you over mix and how creative you can be with your left overs! Like everything else in this hobby, whether painting or just assembling models, the more time you spend sculpting, the better you will get at it. No one wins a Slayer Sword at a Golden Daemon painting competition with their first model. They spend hundreds of hours practicing and honing their craft. Sculpting is no different. Your success will be proportional to how much time you invest in it. There is no substitute to spending time with sculpting. You need to practice and experiment, all the while trying to push yourself with each new project.
