The coffee really softens the rose from being the star of the show and the caramel, woods and vanilla give it a bit of body and sweetness.

I only spray it once and I definitely can smell it on my clothes and hair the next day - this could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your preferences.

It stays quite dry and bitter and not only this helps taming the sugariness of the rose in this perfume, but it also gives it a very interesting and slightly dark facet. I am definitely keeping this in my collection, as I've always wanted at least one Montale fragrance. After a few hours it turns more vanilla and amber, I can’t really smell the rose and coffee anymore, and then it smells exactly like MFK gentle fluidity gold. The rose doesn’t steal the show and merely supports the realistic roasted coffee; which does most of the heavy lifting in it’s scent profile for the first 4-5 hours. At least I can clearly pick up the coffee note while the perfume projects from my skin from the beginning to the end.
