About this deal

I've used Eton Vintners for many years and have always found the staff unfailingly helpful and wise. Graham’s 30 Year Old Tawny Port is a fortified Port wine made with the Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca varieties produced by Graham’s Port, in the Douro Valley, Portugal. If the person being thus queried does not know the ritual (and so replies in the negative), the querent will remark ""He's an awfully nice fellow, but he never remembers to pass the port"".

One of the unique winemaking techniques followed here is the addition of the grape spirit during the fermentation of the grapes to add to the sweetness and longevity of the wines. Though it accounts for around one percent of production, vintage port is the flagship wine of all Portugal.

The wonders of wood: Graham's is one of the last Port companies with its own cooperage team, who care for each cask individually.

The wonders of wood: Graham's is one of the last port companies with its own cooperage team, who care for each cask individually. Time-honoured skills, craftsmanship and dedication are handed down from generation to generation at Graham’s in the form of three unique arts – the art of blending, the art of cooperage and the art of ageing – to produce an extraordinary selection of Tawny Ports. The Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e Porto (IVDP or Port and Douro Wine Institute) regulates the Port industry in Portugal. The continued English involvement in the port trade can be seen in the names of many port shippers: Croft, Taylor, Dow, Graham, Symington. We can't offer refunds or exchanges on perishable goods such as flowers and food, unless faulty or not as described.TASTING CANCELLATIONS – full refunds can only be made where at least 7 days’ notice is given prior to the event date.

The wine's contact with the wood of the cask works hand-in-hand with time to create one of the world's greatest wines. Vintage ports are aged in barrels for a maximum of 2 years before bottling, and often require another 5 to 15 years of aging in the bottle before reaching what is considered proper drinking age.Graham's is one of the last Port companies with its own cooperage team, who care for each cask individually. Instead, it is the result of blending ""ruby"" and ""white"" ports, or possibly the addition of caramel colouring.
