This cracking small batch Bourbon, (usually no more than 2 dozen barrels) has an inviting nose that shows rich notes of barley sugar, raisins and dried fruit, with fennel seed and fresh bread. The finish brings a welcoming kick of black pepper which leads to more dried fruit on the long finish. As such we have invested in global protection and take action against every infringement of our rights. The Liberator Wines We’ve had the great pleasure of knowing Richard for many years now – not just from a shared passion of South African wine, but also out of mutual respect.

The boldness of its orange flavour is matched note for note by the quinine bitterness that makes it a popular and distinctive aperitif. A luscious, full-textured white Tequila, with beautiful 100% agave flavour integrity – this is one to watch. The Ocho style is agave forward in flavour and pronounced which develops into a sweet fruitiness, which is balanced and smooth. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The Veuve Goudoulin VSOP is a beautiful bright amber, with an appealing nose showing notes of fruit and spice with plenty of freshness. Ocho is also the first tequila to designate both the year it was produced and the precise field from which the agave was harvested as is done with fine wines. An estate-grown, 100% Blue Agave Tequila range, OCHO is produced as a collaboration between Tomas Estes (the man credited with bringing the first bottle of Tequila to Europe) and renowned distillers, the Camarena family.

A few of these are that it takes an average of eight years for agaves to ripen before harvest, eight kilograms of agave to make one litre of Ocho Tequila, and it took eight different samples for Estes and Camarena to find the perfect recipe.

Produced in small batches in the highlands of Jalisco, this is a lovely single estate Tequila with rgeat balance and depth. Understanding the all-important terroir in grapes, Carlos and Tomas looked to their highland agaves and realised that these incredible plants could carry their heritage just as well as any vineyard. Many cocktails simply wouldn’t be the same without a dash or two of Angostura bitters and it’s the complex herbaceous nature of the product which allows it to offer additional depth and dimension to cocktails. Palate: Honey sweetness, radish vegetal notes, strong minerality, cacao nibs, green olive, grapefruit zest with undertones of strawberry and red fruits. Cloves and cinnamon can be tasted through the orange and a strong woody end note leaves an enjoyable aftertaste, leaving a satisfying bitterness in the mouth.

Ocho Blanco is a premium silver Tequila produced by the Camarena family in conjunction with restaurateur and Tequila ambassador Tomas Estes (Cafe Pacifico, La Perla).Nose: Cooked agave, honey, fermenting agave juice, plum eau de vie, smoked meat and hints of chamomile. Ocho Extra Anejo Tequila is aged for 3 years in oak ex-American Whiskey barrels before being bottled. Ocho demonstrates that “terroir” exists in agave and pioneered the 'single estate' concept, showing how each is unique. Cedar, mint and spice all come through and there’s a satisfying earthiness to this tequila and you taste. One of the few tequilas still made slowly in the old fashioned way, Tequila Ocho accentuates that which is exclusive to tequila; the agave flavour.
