They absorbed the nonsense and made me not mind as much if they went off on random tangents that were nothing to do with me. With shocking twists and an emotional, but satisfying conclusion, this is an expertly-crafted, rollercoaster of a novel that had me gripped from the beginning' Jendella Benson'Dorothy Koomson is on formidable form .So I loved that some months back, she invited me to her proof party with a tissue-wrapped gift copy of the proof, a nice packet of coffee and Maltesers. And this (illness, mental state, obsession) played a huge part within this thriller that gripped my full attention. Hanging out with her best friend Trina and trying to persuade geeky Heath that she doesn’t fancy him. None of the characters were likeable, the story took an age to get going, and the ending was both unbelievable (not in a good way) and disappointing. She falls for him and at first they are very happy together, but Heath isn't who he appears to be and his behaviour becomes out of control and his jealousy increases.
