Directions Hair Lightening Kit (30 Volume), has been specially formulated to condition and help protect your hair while you lighten. If your hair has been previously bleached, lightened, spray lightened, or coloured using metallic salt based products or henna, do not use this product. Everyone should protect the hairline, ears and any other sensitive areas with Vaseline before lightening. Directions powder bleach contains added conditioning ingredients to help keep hair moisturised during the lightening process.

The stronger the developer the more the cuticle opens and the more lightening of natural pigment it has.

developer can be used with permanent hair color and high lift color to give 4-5 levels of lift depending on the power of the color and the texture of the hair. At the same time, it is a powerful bleach and will lift up to 7 levels without requiring excessively strong developers. It's currently an angled lob that I have trimmed regularly, I use repair masks and deep conditioning treatments religously and have been dying my own hair for 15+ years.

If the hair is a finer fabric it could over a slight one level lighter shift in base color and grey blending. Note that you don't actually need to deposit the bleach mixture on the scalp: we recommend you stay 1/8 inch away from the root area.

Similar to 5 volume, 10 volume can be used with permanent color lines for depositing color, however, it will not offer much grey coverage or lift. If your client's hair is blonde (level 7 and higher) aim at between 15-20 minutes using 20 Vol developer. Pro-tip: because our colour is softer in texture, using our developer will make your colour go further.
