About this deal

I can see room for fun (and KMKY-style parodies of modern comedians) if Alan was to enter one of those newcomer stand-up competitions, with the process of the course probably being more interesting/amusing than his act. But on the page – and in scripts for all his output since 2013’s Mid Morning Matters – it’s the comedy writing team of Neil and Rob Gibbons who’ve been responsible for the bulk of the material produced. But then, all there's only a period of silence before Alan himself starts reading his co-written version of The Ryme of the Ancient Mariner. But that had become one of my long-running questions about the ever-widening Alan/Gibbonseses mythology. I've watched and listened to the entire Alan Partridge catalogue and the earlier shows/books literally had me crying with laughter all the way through.

Authored by Steve Coogan, Rob Gibbons, and Neil Gibbons, this book showcases Partridge’s unwavering self-belief amidst a perpetually faltering existence. After such a distinguished broadcasting career it was inevitable that the character be allowed the run of a cinema screen at least once.

It's not surprising then that the film's best moments are when Alan is allowed to do what he does best: delivering music and chat for the North Norfolk Generation. Which makes me interested in exactly how much Coogan contributes to each work versus how much the Gibbons contribute.

Seems a lot of effort to go to if Michael's reappearance is just confined to the final episode of FTOs3.His debut poetry collection, "Neon Ghosts" (2020), and subsequent works like "Belisama" (2021) and "Echoes" (2022) demonstrate his creative prowess. Brace yourselves for Alan Partridge’s third memoir (and to think his nemesis Noel Edmonds has yet to pen one). Alan Partridge is publishing his third memoir, Big Beacon, about resurrecting his television career.
