Like so many other fragrances, it unfortunately doesn't last long on me but I'm not going to let that ruin my enjoyment and satisfaction. The reformulated bottle I bought a year or so ago contained what could only be described as a cheap knock-off smelling liquid. It smells exciting and inspiring, there's a luxurious sentiment within the casualness that it projects. But then, as much as I digged the OG, started to understand the Marine, being a fresher version of the OG; after smelling both, I guess I learned to appreciate the Marine. Love these Marine smelling scent over David Cool Water cause it's more salty smooth over a salty fabric softener.

Lasts 4-5 hours on me but kind of skin scent so i'll just spray it on my clothes to improve its longetivity. The projection, sillage and longevity are all better than the standard performance of an aquatic fragrance, too. It is purely amazing and I have plenty of niche fragrances with a similar set of accords/notes that are not even close to the perfection that this is.

I think it's safe to say that it is also the most masculine of the Aqva series with Amara coming in second. So as a perfumer Jacques Cavallier's impact on perfumery was simply starting the heavy Calone trend, hence, he is the man behind Aqva line. This is a true aquatic, meaning there aren't just salty marine notes but there is also a unique seaweed note in this that you can pick up. I prefer this to many of todays freshies because of that sharp acidic bite…opposed to something that smells like mall oil pineapple juice drowned in sickly sugar syrup. Even so, back when I first owned Aqva it was an acquired taste but at least you could actually smell it, in fact I used to find it a pretty strong stuff.

ScentedBee indeed, bvlgari aqva doesn't have that nauseating something and overall is i think much better, more versatile and, well, normal, if it makes any sense. Needs to be hot weather to get the most of the short projection, and if any the only downside of this fragrance. The base, same for both, is a bit a monodimensional fuzzy wood drydown very much common in modern perfumery, and that is the least appealing part of this fragrance, but once you reach that point it is already time to reapply or take a shower before bed time. Bvlgari Aqva (BA) is a “beach” fragrance that starts out with mandarin orange, water/sea notes and moves on to a beautiful salty seaweed vibe that takes you straight to the beach.

I first had a bottle 10 years ago and quite honestly it was a very strong aromatic fragrance (the mandarin note was very pungent as was the salty vibe!
