So, once you’re finished cooing over just how beautiful the book is and finished rubbing your hands along it (and it even has that fabulous ‘book’ smell! Atlas of Adventures: Wonders of the World by Rachel Williams, Emily Hawkins and Lucy Letherland | 9781786032171.

This beautiful little book is packed with lots of interesting facts and lovingly drawn illustrations of the four corners of the earth. Discover how to minimize your impact on the environment and support local communities while exploring the wonders of our world. We picked this one up at the local library since the boys are into geography and the world right now.

It’ s also filled with fun and engaging illustrations and interesting facts about every destination. This is a fantastic book filled with facts and information for children to learn and discover about places all around the world!

Do note the book doesn’t cover all the adventures listed on the continents introductory page, but only goes into detail on a few of the adventures. You’ll get to go to sleep under the Northern Lights, meet millions of monarch butterflies in the boreal forests of Mexico’s volcanic mountains, shower with an elephant in Chiang Mai and go snorkelling in the Great Barrier Reef, among many other amazing adventures.

Oh, oh, oh, oh, OHHHHH this is a geographical treat, a global spectacle, a truly earth-shattering view of planet earth. For further information about each country and equally fascinating illustrations, pair this with Aleksandra Mizielinska's book Maps. There’s a useful map on each feature page, showing where in its country the wonder is located, and a large double page map of the relevant continent at the beginning of each section.
