Description

The Makita DLS110Z cordless mitre saw powered by two 18v Li-Ion batteries connected in series to power a 36v DC motor, providing similar power to that of a corded machine. It features a 260mm TCT saw blade that allows cutting capacities up to 91mm straight cut and the single sliding system enables smooth operation to produce superior cross cuts of up to 305mm. Aluminium base for stable cutting performance, soft-start for precise accurate cutting performance, rail-forward design allows the rear of the machine to be placed close to the wall, single sliding system enables smooth operation to produce superior cuts. Automatic Torque Drive Technology (ADT) automatically adjusts the cutting speed according to load conditions. There is no doubt that this is a very nice saw and I would love to own it, especially if it came with a lead and plug. The Makita DLS110Z mitre saw delivers power similar to that of a corded machine thanks to its 36V brushless motor. It has been designed based on the LS1019, therefore, you can expect maximum power, increased run time and long life. Its single sliding system enables smooth operation to produce superior cuts whilst the unique twin slide rails allow it to be operated flush against a wall. Automatic torque drive technology automatically changes the cutting speed according to load conditions and the electric brake with soft start ensures optimum safety upon use. This saw can cut mitres from 0° to 60° both left and right with a bevelling capacity of 0° to 48°. Features:

Makita mitre saws offer the power and the drive you need to get a job done. Designed with precision and speed in mind they can handle even the most complicated cut. This Makita 36V mitre saw accepts 2 x 18V batteries to provide power equal to that of a corded machine There is no doubt that this is a very nice saw and I would love to own it, especially if it came with a lead and plug. The technology exits to give you hybrid machine with an adaptor that slides into the battery slot to provide a main supply from a small transformer.

Automatic torque Drive Technology (ADT) feature adjusts the torque and speed according to the load condition, enabling rapid movement between high speed and high torque applications Following his video review Roger looks at the Makita DLS110Z Twin 18v Cordless LXT BL Slide Compound Mitre Saw in more detail. Automatic torque drive technology automatically changes the cutting speed according to load conditions and electric brake with soft start ensures optimum safety upon use. This saw can cut mitres from 0° to 60° both left and right with a bevelling capacity of 0° to 48°. Specification:Boasting a max 4400rpm no load speed ensuring a perfectly smooth and accurate cut, the 260mm diameter blade delivers an impressive 68mm max depth of cut at 90°, 42mm max depth of cut at 45° with an equally impressive 310mm max cross cut capacity. Automatic Torque Drive Technology: Automatically changes the cutting speed according to load condition for an optimum operation I have always had my reservations about cordless mitre saws and that includes all makes and sizes. It isn’t that they don’t work, it is just that they don’t work as well as mains powered machines and, for the most part, I am not in a situation where I can’t plug into a bit of A/C. If you do work without mains power or simply feel that mains power is a difficult option involving the running of a long extension lead then this 10 inch Makita 36 volt double bevel mitre saw is a good option.

I guess I am just a sensitive kind of guy who doesn’t readily abuse his power tools but it is the job of a reviewer to find the outer limits, to boldly go where nobody goes At the heart of the Saw is the brushless motor that allows you to use the tool efficiently. As part of the design, the tool utilizes every bit of battery power when you need, all while reducing the need for ongoing maintenance by reducing the amount of heat generated and working more efficiently. If you do go for this saw you will need a good charger which takes two batteries, or you will need two ordinary single gang chargers. Front bevel knob enables easy adjustment without reaching for operator convenience and precise setting of bevel angle
