A little after the events of the previous book, the police extract everything that was in the pizzeria, including animatronics and costumes, and discard it, in addition to giving permission to finally demolish the structure. As they search for a way out, the four robots come to life and pursue them through the restaurant. William reveals that the robots are possessed by the vengeful ghosts of his victims and boasts that they will hunt down and kill any intruders. The group tries to hide in a party room, but all four robots corner them. The day after, Jessica, Marla, John, and Clay are in the hospital, near Carlton's side as he is recovering from his near-death injury. When they return to the ruins of Freddy Fazbear's, Charlie and Jessica find Afton's rotting corpse inside of the Spring Bonnie costume, stuffed inside of a small closet, by the animatronics after dragging him off a year ago. Disgusted and convinced he was dead, they leave. Later, Twisted Wolf and Twisted Freddy surrounded Charlie, John, Jessica, and Clay Burke. Charlie asked the animatronics "What do you want from me?", and William, undead and still inside the rabbit costume, replies that he was the one who brought them there. Jason first appears in Chapter 3, along with Marla and Lamar when they meet with the other four. Jason and the group go to the ceremony dedicated to Michael Brooks, who was murdered ten years ago.

Ten years later, a memorial was held by the parents of the late Michael Brooks, and Charlie and her childhood friends return to Utah to attend it. An odd, thin smile on his lips, Dave reached out with his fingertips, savoring the moment, and brushed yellow fur. *”The next day, John and his friends attend the scholarship's launch ceremony at their old school, where Michael's parents give a speech about him. Afterwards, John confesses to Charlie that he remembers seeing a strange person in a yellow Freddy costume at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza on the day of Michael's death, and he now suspects this person was Michael's killer. Later on, Theodore's head began to speak to him, repeating "Shining Star, Sliver Reef". He spoke with Jessica, and the two discover that Silver Reef was an old ghost town. When they traveled to the abandoned area, they saw an arch with a star, which they concluded to be the "Shining Star". They ventured to the house atop a hill, where Charlie's Aunt Jen resided. While they were there, they discovered Charlie trapped in a box, and Aunt Jen was killed. John took the real Charlie to his house to rest and hide. Golden Freddy is a far more benevolent character in the novel than in the game series, acting as a guide to the main characters.

They had come; Freddy’s was gone, and so was the shrine she had kept in her thoughts, where she could still find Michael playing where she last saw him.” At the end of the novel, an injured John very vaguely told the childhood crew about Charlie's death. He went to the cemetery where Charlie had taken him a long time ago, and followed the same path she took. In his head, he began thinking about how Charlie told him that she remembered him confessing his love for her, scolding himself. Approaching two small, plain tombstones, he suddenly felt as though he was being watched. He turned around and saw a girl, who is assumed to be Charlie, standing beneath a tree a few yards away, extending her hand towards him. John's mind went numb, and he walked towards the woman under the tree. One by one, the four animatronics approach him and drag their dying murderer into the darkness of the pizzeria. Later Marla and Carlton go to rescue Jessica and the three kids. Marla shoves the illusionary device into Jessica's ear, as Carlton goes to find the taken kid. Marla, Jessica, and the three kids run to the exit, however they are being chased by Funtime Foxy. Marla and Jessica try to fend the fox off from harming the kids. When they reach the exit, Funtime Foxy is near, so Jessica decides to distract it and go for her. She tells the other four to go out. Jessica takes the device out, and the fox starts chasing her through the pizzeria. After Jessica manages to defeat Funtime Foxy and the Baby Crawlers. Marla, Jessica and the three kids leave. The day after, Marla, Jessica, John, and Clay are in the hospital, near Carlton's side as he is recovering from his near-death injury. As the robots drag William's corpse away, Chief Burke escorts everyone out of the mall. The friends go their separate ways, and before leaving Hurricane. They rushed to the doorway to meet her just as she walked in. Arty seemed confused, his mouth opened slightly and his brow furrowed. John watched for a steady moment, then turned away decisively, facing across the table with a grave expression. He didn’t speak until Arty met his gaze. “That’s not Charlie.” He reunites with his childhood friends Jessica, Charlotte, and Carlton, and they decide to revisit the place where Michael died: Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a family restaurant Charlie's father once owned, now an incomplete shopping mall has been built in the restaurant's place, but upon further investigation the friends discover the restaurant is still standing, and the mall has been built around it.

To speed up the process, William captures the original animatronics and fuses their endoskeletons together, rendering them unable to move and ready to be used for experimentation, involving melting down the endoskeletons to see if they would bring life to the Funtimes. One of these experiments involved heating up and injecting a glowing liquid from the endoskeletons into his new Funtime animatronics, which animated them and gave him full control over them. Another involved Elizabeth surgically removing organs from his body and smashing them into the endoskeletons, hoping for some kind of change. years later, his parents decided to commemorate the anniversary of this tragedy, leaving a scholarship dedicated to Michael. Don't miss the first-ever graphic novel for Five Nights at Freddy's, an adaptation of the #1 New York Times bestselling novel The Silver Eyes illustrated by fan-favorite game artist Claudia Schröder! The protagonist of The Silver Eyes and The Twisted Ones, she was killed by William at Fredbear's Family Diner, while her and her twin brother were hiding in one of the closets playing with costumes. In 1995, Marla attend the launch of a scholarship dedicated to his school friend Michael Brooks, who went missing ten years earlier. She reunites with her childhood friends and attend the scholarship's launch ceremony at their old school, where Michael's parents give a speech about him. That night, Charlie, Jessica, John, and Carlton return to the restaurant, accompanied by their friends Marla, Lamar, and her 11-year-old brother Jason.

The things that had changed seem out of place, and the things that had remained the same made Charlie feel out of place.” From there, the Marionette was able to make the animatronic parts free themselves from the salvaged fusion, forcing the Miscreation to tear itself apart. Afton screams as his form dissipates, and the broken body of trash fell into the water. Afton, alongside the Marionette and the other animatronic parts, sank into the bottom of the lake never to be seen again. Larson lived, as the Stitchwraith (now solely possessed by Jake) used its energy to burn away at the detective's wound, removing the last remains of Afton's infection. The serial killer has finally been put down, for good. Jessica later follows the fake Charlie, who reveals herself to be Circus Baby and is captured by her and brought to Circus Baby's Pizza. She forces Jessica to perform surgery on a weak William Afton who has escaped the Spring Bonnie suit. Jessica completes the surgery and is thrown into a room where the recently captured kids are being held. John, Jessica, and Clay Burke went to see Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Golden Freddy inside of Clay's basement to save Charlie from William Afton (who is now referred as Springtrap), Twisted Freddy, Twisted Wolf and Twisted Bonnie. When John crouched down in front of Golden Freddy ,and he saw a little spark of light. John knew that Golden Freddy was still possessed by their old friend Michael Brooks and the children that were murdered by William Afton. When John tried to convince the animatronics to help them find and rescue Charlie, he had mentioned Afton's name. The four main animatronics suddenly began to twitch and shake violently on the floor. found a space right next to the school. “Can I play my game now?” Jason said immediately, and Marla found her keys in her purse”

John is a keen observer between his surroundings, he deeply cares for Charlie, always offering her support even though the situation is difficult to vigorous. He seems to be wise on his age, he can be often be quite sarcastic between his anybody. Michael is a little child with a round face and rosy cheeks, with brown wide eyes that "glisten", and short blond hair. He wears a blue T-shirt, with dark grey shorts. In The Fourth Closet, once he escaped from the Spring Bonnie suit, William began to regain his sanity, which in turn made him feel that he doesn’t need to be inconspicuous due to his state of condition. He is miserable, commanding and impatient, yet he still remains to be theatrical, even when he is in pain. Considering the fact that his organic, human body is full of mechanical parts, William seemingly has a tolerance for pain, as he continues to commit scientific experiments, seeking to replicate immortality in the form of a substance called remnant. It reminded me of Stephen King’s IT both in tale as well as ambience, in that ten years later the characters are coming together to review what happened when they were children. I was tense virtually the entire way with, as the details of what happened are gradually introduced. Not all of the personalities feel expanded, yet the ones we invest the most time with are rather well created. Every one of the characters feel genuine, as if they’re colleagues. Even the animatronics are defined in such as means as to make them appear as if they have some personality themselves, and make you question whether they’re in fact alive or not.
