For the first interval performance, during which voting across Europe and the world takes place, the UK’s very own spaceman Sam Ryder will make his triumphant return to the Eurovision stage. The final interval act The Liverpool Songbook, is a celebration of the host city’s incredible contribution to the world of pop music. The BBC have brought together six iconic past Eurovision acts – Israel's Netta, Italy's Mahmood, Iceland's Daði Freyr, Duncan Laurence from the Netherlands, Sweden's Cornelia Jakobs and Liverpool's very own Sonia, celebrating 30 years since she came second at Eurovision in 1993. After audiences have cast their Grand Final votes, each national spokesperson from the 37 participating countries will present the points of their professional jury live to the world. The first group of countries who will compete for a place in Saturday’s Grand Final are: Azerbaijan, Croatia, Czechia, Finland, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Malta, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland. From the go, the slogan spelled out exactly what could be expect from the 2023 event: 'United By Music'.

To help you get involved in all the action, we have an easy-to-use sweepstake kit, score sheet and drinking game. Eurovision 2023 score sheet: The slogan is 'United By Music' demonstrating the unique partnership between the United Kingdom, Ukraine and Host City Liverpool to bring the Eurovision Song Contest to audiences across the globe and the incredible power of music to bring communities together. It also reflects the very origins of the Contest, developed to bring Europe closer together through a shared television experience across different countries. You can also encourage people to dress up there by having some oversized sunglasses, silly hats, and feather boas available. At the very least you can expect your guests to put on some new, light blue underwear for you. Eurovision Lordi costume by @adventurejussi Eurovision karaoke

Games can be a great way to make the night even more fun and boost the energy even if the final end up filled with slow ballads. With these games no matter who wins or loses, there shouldn't be any tear drops. 1. Eurovision voting The Semi-Finals will be presented by Alesha Dixon, Julia Sanina and Hannah Waddingham with Eurovision legend Graham Norton joining the musical trio on stage for the Grand Final. Rylan and Scott Mills will provide commentary for audiences on BBC One and BBC iPlayer for both Semi-Finals, with Mel Giedroyc and Graham stepping into the commentary box for the Grand Final. For the first time since 1998, the United Kingdom will play host to the 2023 contest and will do so on behalf of last year’s winners Ukraine who are unable to host due to the ongoing war. This year marks the 67th edition of the competition as 37 countries compete for the coveted, life changing trophy.

I've made this game on my own in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 32. You can view the entry here: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-32/?action=preview&uid=49432 Instead of going through the boring route of diplomacy and politics, you will be using a more UNCONVENTIONAL WEAPON: your voting powers in the Eurovision Song Contest to gain the favour of your fellow European countries (and Australia). The 66th Eurovision Song Contest was held at the PalaOlimpico in Turin, after Måneskin’s success for Italy the previous year.Sixteen countries competed on Thursday night for the 10 remaining spots in Saturday's showdown in Liverpool.

The BBC have brought together six iconic past Eurovision acts – Italy's Mahmood, Israel's Netta, Iceland's Daði Freyr, Sweden's Cornelia Jakobs, Duncan Laurence from the Netherlands – plus Liverpool's very own Sonia, celebrating 30 years since she came second at Eurovision in 1993. By giving many points to a country, you will befriend them and they will return the favour in the next year. So by strategically awarding points to the countries you want in your group of friends, you can manipulate the results in the long run and eventually become winner of the Eurovision Song Contest and thus the world.

Let’s Play!

The generated scoreboards show just that what we're used to see in the ESC broadcast: full jury results, then aggregates only for televote. Performing in the Grand Final will be all the acts who successfully made it through their respective Semi-Finals along with the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Germany, and Italy who make up the Big Five. Joining them will be last year’s winner Ukraine who also automatically qualify. You can offer a reward to the winners, but bragging rights can also be sufficient. If you are in need of a Eurovision music quiz, we have a few for you to choose from! The BBC, together with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), will organise the Contest in consultation with UA:PBC, Ukraine’s public broadcaster and last year’s winners of the Contest.
