It was the same information repeated - but each had perspective A: adhd author, and then the same stuff again from perspective B: neurotypical author. Considering this, the most helpful part of this book should be that of the neurotypical teaching others how to treat people with ADHD, but Rich's part of the book was very hard to read. Every chapter starts with a common symptom of ADHD, like impulsivity or struggles with finances, and an earnest moment from their own lives to show you how they navigate the symptom together. w jakimś stopniu to było dla mnie osobiste i pozwoliło otworzyć oczy na wiele rzeczy, ponieważ ta pozycja skupiona była w głównej mierze na relacji osoby neuroróżnorodnej z osobą neurotypową.

To fully immerse yourself in the profound insights, heartfelt stories, and practical strategies presented by Richard Pink and Roxanne Emery, we encourage you to embrace the complete journey by obtaining the full version of "Dirty Laundry. To me, the solutions and hacks she offers for coping are OK, but they won't work well on their own -- if your life is truly that unmanageable, and you're really that powerless over your ADHD, then a few tips and tricks will only serve to make you feel a bit better in the short term -- and if you are single, you won't have anyone to pick up the pieces for you afterwards. I really liked the fact that you get the perspective of the person with adhd and also the person who lives with them. I'm grateful for those willing to be vulnerable in sharing their stories but at the same time do not recommend this book to someone in the beginning stages of understanding their ADHD diagnosis given all the options out there that include a more balanced approach with anecdotes and science. It also has a very positive tone- lots of reminders to not be too hard on yourselves which is something many ADHDers struggle with.

My husband was diagnosed as a kid and just given meds to calm down without the skills or therapy to actually learn to live with it. Instead of scrolling through your social media news feed, this is a much better way to spend your spare time in my opinion.the main message still shines through, 'It's not our fault, it's our neuro divergent brains' which will help everyone who listens I'm sure. Truly helpful for both those who have ADHD, and for those who want to better understand their neurodivergent loved one. I relate to some, but not all, of whats said, but all of it makes me go YES - EXACTLY or gives me flashbacks to my childhood and having my ADHD misunderstood because non of us knew I had it.
