The inside of the restaurant is long and narrow with Miyake-san and his assistants frantically trying to keep pace with the fast turnover of guests. Unlike some of the others, this shop has a homely feel to it with its dim lighting, well-worn wood, and a giant wall of fame. Shoyu tonkotsu, if regular tonkotsu expect to be rich in flavour, shoyu expected to be salty... Tapi.... Ini malah asem.... I don't know what is wrong with them or the ingredient.... But very disappointed regarding the taste of shoyu ramen Personally, I don’t handle spice well so I was worried how this would all go but I wanted to see how the recommended level tasted like. How did I do? Well, I definitely broke out into a mild sweat and I could feel my mouth going a bit numb which was quite amusing but I was astounded that it never got to the point where I felt like I needed to douse my mouth with milk. Futsu doesn’t set your mouth on fire even for someone that is a light-weight on spice. Sebelumnya beberapa kali mencoba resto yang satu ini. Karena postingan di sosmed, saya akhirnya tertarik buat mencoba. Telurnya melted dan sama sekali tidak berbau amis. Saya beneran suka banget sama.porknya. Porknya beneran wangi dan sama sekali nggak berbau. Rasa dan aromanya agak smokey. Selain itu potongan babinya cukup banyak.

Comfort food is an important part of any cuisine. Whether it’s a hearty plate of bangers and mash in England, a big bowl of homemade pasta in Italy, or a pot of bubbling boeuf bourguignon in France, everywhere has go-to, soothing dishes which are easy to eat and made to warm the soul. Japanese food tends to get associated with subtle, pure, often cold dishes (mostly due to sushi), but the country’s world-class cuisine has just as many (if not more) warm, rich, in-your-face flavourful dishes. And while there are a whole host of different types of Japanese comfort food, the most popular dish of the lot is undoubtedly ramen. These red bell peppers, corn and carrots are really the main deal breaker here, making this taste almost like a “glorified Cup Noodle”. Which really is an insult, however it’s the truth. Had Ajinomoto done it RIGHT and simply put menma and perhaps maybe Choi Sum, that would have been WAY better. With this, sorry to say, but they’ve “Americanized” what they claim is “Tokyo Style” Shoyu Ramen. Not Tokyo at all with that stuff in it! At least not from the old school Tokyo style I’m familiar with in my travels there. Pertama sih awalnya tertarik karna review food blogger, akhirnya pas gabut libur mampir deh ama temen yg suka kulineran juga. No shaka to: Corn, red bell peppers and carrots are a NO-NO in Japanese Ramen in my book! Save that for American BBQ! No inclusion of menma (marinated bamboo shoots) is a major bummer. The exterior is reminiscent of a teahouse with its birch wood panels and this is threaded through the inside of the ramen shop as well. With tables that wrap around the centre in a U-shape, you get to see one of the assistants work a few big pots that I can only presume are part of the broth. In a room behind is where the ramen is prepared. This means you can’t really see what’s happening in the kitchen but you can see the heads bobbing behind the landscape window.

Aroma porknya cukup tajam dan kebetulannsaya kurang suka dengan porl yang aromanya tajam . Namun setelah dimakan pakai chili oil, aroma tersamarkan dan jadi lebih enak.

But after second visit, definitely got disappointed and really need to consider to visit the third time. If you’ve watched the video above, you’ll know that there’s an endless list of features in the shoyu. The first part is the triple soup that uses a clear pork broth, Wa-dashi, and hamaguri clam dashi. It’s then topped with homemade truffle sauce, porcini oil and flakes. If that wasn’t enough, they make their own noodles homemade and in-house (the close room you’ll see in the shop). Finally, you have the sous-vide pork which is just ridiculously well done and I loved the menma they used as well. Seriously though, you should just try to have as many of these as you possibly can. You’ve been challenged!

Shoyu Base Soup trus yg unik...disini ada bawang putih goreng..baru sekali liat...di ramen place lain biasanya dikasih bawang putih utuh sama alat buay hancurinnya Famous for their MSG TV commercials, I remember “hanabata dayz”, us kids used to tease the Ajinomoto name, saying, “Ah, gee, no mo toe!” (Ah Jesus, no more toe!). Yeah, silly, but hey, kids can be that way. lol
