She could see her mother staring at her, could see her baby sister bouncing in the periphery, but she felt completely displaced. There are holes in the characters' stories and while the timeline moves forward at the right pacing it doesn't have nearly the suspense and surprise one would expect.

Even if you stripped “Clue” of it’s brilliant mystery and memorable characters, “This Lie Will Kill You” wouldn’t even come close.The beginning was good, I liked the presentation of the characters as you could tell they all were keeping some secrets.

It's quite tense as you can imagine, taking place in one evening the pace is fast going and doesn't let up from the minute they all arrive at the mansion. There's a lot going on in this book, from various character connections to the unveiling of the true events of that fateful night, but it lends itself to the story. She’d be going about her day, not even thinking about Dahlia Kane’s Christmas party, and out of nowhere, her limbs would get heavy. Because this seems like a weirdly specific detail to miss, especially as it’s essentially Gavin’s only reason for being invited to the mystery dinner.

While the story is not realistic, I mean who really can pull together a murder mansion house at such a young age, it is intriguing. While predictable, it is still engaging and I think readers who enjoy teen readers and thriller reads will find this one a winner.
