Of course I can’t just dye over dark brown hair with semi permanent: the colour won’t take and it’d just be a complete waste of money. Usually you can get away with one, and it says you can usually escape with only using one bottle, but in this case, no. You can also tell it was awhile ago from the scarring: the majority of that has faded completely now after a careful diet and strict looking after my skin. But, with purple, due to it being a red based dye, it fades very, very quickly, as all red dyes and red based dyes do. Now I am fighting to get a green one of my hair is already three bleachings it would not have been able to get that green tone.

A couple of months back I had my hair bleached and lightened which means it’s a lot brighter and colours come out a lot truer now too. The unique professional formula boosts colour penetration for beautifully even, radiant results that fade out in 6-10 washes. I tried the silver blonde last night, and nothing going to retry today but all I have is the blond that I pre lightened my dark hair to, not even a hint of silver but this could be due to the blond kit I used first. Which is amazing to say the least bit I was expecting it to go lighter quicker and now seek for lighter ends on my hair! I’ve just used Mystic Purple on my grey hair, which is quite light at the front and darker everywhere else.Choose between bold colour or delicate pastels by adding Colour-Freedom Pasteliser to your red temporary hair dye. I’ve still got darker tones in my hair, but since using these I’ve coloured with Directions Cerise and that’s what I’m picking up again this weekend. So, with the help of my wonderful mother, we decided it was time for a change, and we definitely got a change.

On natural dark brown hair, do you think using the purple as a dip dye will wash out in a month or so?

Whether you are dyeing your full head, creating Ombre or Dip Dye our comprehensive in pack instruction talk you through what to do step by step. Seeing as this is a semi-permanent dye over a dark permanent dye, I think we can agree that the difference is pretty damn good.

This product contains ingredients that may cause skin irritation on certain individuals, and a preliminary sensitivity test should be done before using the product, following instructions below and on the box and in the instructions. The picture on the right is out of natural light (and me first thing in a morning, so please forgive me) and the left is what it it looked like when the sun hit it. I know, I dyed my hair 2 months ago according to Instagram, but think of it this way, some of you may have been waiting to find out if Colour Freedom hair dyes are any good but now I can give you the FULL low down.I’m using Vermilion Red from Crazy Colour or Direction when my roots are freshly bleached, which tends to come out a tad too orange, so I have to dye it twice to get the look I want. While being a bit annoyed about how quickly it was fading, Momma She suggested using a red based dye to keep my colour topped up and have more definition to it, and seeing as my mum is excellent when it comes to hair, I thought I’d trust her, and off I went to look for different dyes.

As you can see, some parts are very blue, but most of it is a greeny colour, wile other parts were brown, some were a light, murkey green: it didn’t look bad. Now, I’ll give a quick little bullet point review, but I think the before and after pictures will be enough to show the difference it can make. This was at the end of last month, so since then I have dyed it again, and my hair has been cut, since the bottom few inches of my hair were completely dead and felt like straw. To dye it this time, I simply just washed my red hair out for a little while until it was faded as much as possible. The extra large tube means this could be used at least twice if you have long hair and will easily last me for 3-4 dye-jobs. I think I definitely want to start using these towards when my hair needs bleaching to hide my dark roots, and make sure my hair looks the best as possible. It didn’t actually last as long this time, but I do think that’s down to my hair not having as much colour buildup as before to hold onto the dye, as my other dyes are wearing off just as fast now. Thought it might have been due to condition of hair (had lightened it aiming for platinum blonde, but it went super brassy), so last night used the remaining dye on natural hair (dark blonde) with highlights and it went tango orange again.
